Alia Zaben

Alia Zaben is the visionary founder and CEO of Create Professional Development LLC, an organization dedicated to transforming educational practices through culturally responsive methodologies. With a Master's degree in Multi-Cultural Education, she has established herself as a leading expert in developing inclusive learning environments that honor diverse student backgrounds and experiences.

Throughout her career, Alia has worked extensively with schools across the Sacramento region, implementing customized training programs that help educators incorporate culturally responsive practices into their daily teaching. Her work addresses critical gaps in traditional educational approaches by providing teachers with practical strategies to connect with students from varied cultural backgrounds, ultimately improving educational outcomes for all learners.

Alia's expertise and reputation have extended well beyond California. She has conducted impactful training sessions for educators in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and throughout Ohio, adapting her approaches to address these diverse communities' specific cultural contexts and challenges. Her global impact is evidenced by her virtual training work with educators in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where she has helped build capacity for culturally responsive education in African contexts.

Her training programs combine research-based methodologies with real-world classroom strategies, ensuring educators can immediately implement what they learn to benefit their students.

  • Educator at American Ricer College ; Faculty Diversity Internship Program at Los Rios Community College.  

  • ELK Grove Unified School District : Virtual /  in person Trainings, on the Middle Eastern and Afghan students experiences in public school systems. 

  • Sacramento City Unified School District : Virtual trainings on SWANA , BIPOC, and Latinx Cultures. Training goals were to bring meaningful relationships to students and teachers to close the "Cultural Gap". 

  • Twin Rivers Unified School District: Professional Development traineron Cultural Relevant teaching practices for Middle Eastern Students.

  • Training Goals were : to train teachers and staff on how to a culturally experience help strengthen their relationships with students and families.

  • San Juan Unified School District: Professional Development Trainer on Cultural Relevant teaching practices for Middle Eastern Students

  • Training Goals were : to train teachers on how to communicate with parents and students.  Provided a field trip for teachers and admin to local Mosque to learn more about the culture. Also provided a middle eastern lunch.
