Alex A. Shilovskiy 

Alex is a dedicated professional with over 25 years of experience in education and community engagement. Originally from Ukraine, he moved to the U.S. in 1992. He holds an Associate's degree in Art from the Institute of Culture and Arts in Kyiv, Ukraine, and a Technical Degree from APR Private Academy in California.

Alex has worked extensively with K-12 students, Special Education, and bilingual learners, using his fluency in Russian and Ukrainian to bridge cultural gaps and build strong community relationships. With over 20 years of community outreach and experience as a public host on Slavic-speaking radio and TV, Alex has connected with diverse audiences.

 

He also brings over 20 years of experience as a translator and interpreter for the San Juan Unified School District, supporting families with Slavic backgrounds. Alex is passionate about empowering newcomers through public speaking and providing essential resources to immigrants.
