With eight years of experience in higher education as a student assistant and classified professional, I recently earned my Master of Arts in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, deepening my understanding of organizational diversity. My journey as a first-generation MA graduate, woman of color, mother, and immigrant, combined with my commitment to social justice, has fueled my passion for creating and implementing comprehensive Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives. These efforts have been instrumental in building strong communities, enhancing student leadership, engagement, and retention, while empowering marginalized groups to advocate for their rights and make autonomous decisions.
